Objective: My colleagues and I are studying the conservation ecology of Church Forests of Northern Ethiopia.

These forests are threatened by the subtle removal of trees from the edge by farmers as well as by the grazing of cattle, goats & sheep that compact the soil by their grazing.

These churches are alive in the community and while we worked we always had help and followers. I have many pictures of children. The children loved to have their pictures taken and then to see themselves.
